A guide to creating citations for bibliographies and works cited pages

This guide does NOT use the latest APA style guidelines

These examples follow guidelines from the 6th edition of the APA Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2013), which are currently out of date. Examples that reflect the 7th edition guidelines (2020) are available now at libguides.aacc.edu/citationguide/apa.

Do you have an early version of the (6th) edition? 

APA issued corrections for mistakes in the first printing.  You may wish to print the corrections and keep them with your Publication Manual.

APA Style

 APA (American Psychological Association) Style is used in Social Science disciplines, like Psychology and Education.  Always consult your assignment or ask your instructor for the correct citation style to use.
