AACC & Truxal Library access updates

AACC is actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and adjusting services as necessary. Check the college's website and campus alerts for updates. For the latest information about Truxal Library services, bookmark this page.

Library services

  • Access to the library's databases is available with a library card number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Library staff are currently offering remote library services to all patrons. These include reference, instruction, and interlibrary loan of digital materials, among others.
    • "Remote" means that library staff are available by chat, email, text, and other methods that don't involve face-to-face communication.
  • The library building and bookdrops are closed until further notice.
  • The library facility will reopen to patrons on April 2. Hours have yet to be determined, but will be updated wherever the library schedule is posted, including the calendar on this page. When visiting the library, please follow social distancing guidelines recommended by the college and public health authorities.
  • Patrons with books and other materials borrowed from the library should hold onto them for the time being; please do not attempt to come to campus or return them by mail as all library staff are working from home. All loans will be extended – when conditions allow the return of materials, we'll announce a new due date at least two weeks in advance. No overdue fines will be charged on days that the library is closed, and you do not need to renew any materials at this time.
    • If you borrowed a textbook, laptop, or other item for the full semester, please check your MyAACC email for instructions to return or renew.

Laptops & more

The college has worked to make a limited number of laptops, wi-fi hotspots, external webcams, and headsets with microphones available for students whose face-to-face courses have been moved online. Students will check devices out on their library account for the remainder of the semester. Borrowed items will be shipped to students, and a return shipping label will be provided.

If you're in need of a device, contact circdesk@aacc.edu from your MyAACC email. Please specify which device/s you want. Be sure to monitor your account as additional action will be required.
