Reference books are a great way to get background information or peruse an array of related topics. The Encyclopedia of Food and Culture is an especially wonderful source. Use it to access overview articles that are meant to serve as starting points for a research project. There are hundreds of topics covered, from Bananas to Cannibalism to French Fries to Mustard and Pleasure, if it is related to food, this resource probably addresses it!
