Library services

  • Building: The library building has reopened, effective August 30, 2021.
    • The building is open Monday through Thursday, 9am to 6pm.
    • Face masks are required in all college buildings (including group study rooms).
    • Work spaces, computers, printing, and stacks will be accessible, as well as services at the reference and circulation desks.
  • Online services: Staff have expanded remote library services, which are available to all patrons. These include reference, instruction, and interlibrary loan of digital materials, among others. See the "Get Help" box below.
    • "Remote" means that library staff are available by chat, email, text, and other methods that don't involve face-to-face communication. If you prefer to call the library, please leave a voicemail and someone will call you back.
    • Online services are available Mon.-Thurs. 11am-7pm and Fridays from 9am to 4pm.
  • Borrowing materials: Student, staff, and faculty patrons may request books and AV materials to pick up at the library entrance. Once your items are ready, we'll send you an invitation to make a pickup appointment. Please see our sidewalk pickup FAQ for more information. You may also chat with or email library staff to request an item.
  • Databases: Access to the library's databases is available with a library card number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Book drops: Books and media items may be returned to either of the library's exterior book drops at any time. A book drop slot can be found on the wall outside each entrance to the library.
    • Laptops and other fragile items must be returned directly to a staff member at the circulation desk. (If you received your items by home delivery, you may use the provided UPS label to ship them back.) Do not return fragile items to book drops.
  • Work-study positions: The library's Circulation Department is currently accepting applications for employment from students who have a work-study grant from the Financial Aid Office. To learn more, contact Jamie Myers at
