The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity

The Association for the Study of African American Life and History established the celebration of Black History Month. For 95 years, the Association has designated a theme for each year's celebration. In 2021, the theme is: The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity. In honor of this theme, this library guide highlights collection items that support the study of Black family life.
